The teeth of the lower jaw can be individually extracted and replaced, and have fully formed roots for detailed examination. The model has a bone flap on its right mandible for viewing the dental roots, spongiosa, nerve canal, and an impacted wisdom tooth. The calvaria is removable to show the internal structure of the skull. The mandible is articulated and removable.
